Proverbs 20:8
8A king who sits on the throne of judgment
Scatters all evil with his eyes.

I find this verse to be particularly interesting when I consider how Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords, is described in Revelation. It is said that His eyes are like fire. The Lord sees through all the matters of our life. All of our works are tried by those eyes of fire. In His judgment, righteousness and wickedness will be discerned perfectly. There will be no question of it. As such, evil seeks to flee. It seeks to hide. Maybe we ourselves find after stumbling in sin that we try to hide from the eyes of the Lord. His judgment already sees all. There is nothing we can do about it other than running to the blood of Jesus. The Lord provided the only way of escape. So let us hasten to the Lord, repent, and walk in righteousness.
