Proverbs 21:3
3To do righteousness and justice
Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
-Proverbs 21:3
God is not impressed with how much we can give up for His sake. Absolutely we are called to forsake all and pursue Him. However, if we are to give up all and fail to walk in righteousness and justice, all of our sacrifice is in vain. The reality is that obedience far outweighs our ability to give things up. The Lord may call us to give up something before Him, and that is our act of obedience. Above anything that we can give up, we must pursue obedience. Walk righteously. Seek justice. Delight yourself in the Lord always. Be obedient and humble to the Lord's instruction.
