Proverbs 21:16
16A man who wanders from the way of understanding
Will rest in the assembly of the dead.

It is vital for us to keep ourselves in the path that we are on in pursuing after Christ. Someone does not usually just choose to wander from a path. It is usually incremental. A small compromise is made here or there, and then another one, and then another one. Before long, you find yourself wandering so far from the path that you can hardly recall where it is. We must beware distractions and small compromises. We must keep our maps at the ready. Be invested in the word of God and continually keep a check on yourself to make sure you're actually in this sincerely. Do not become devoid of understanding and walk in foolishness. Continue in the path of wisdom.
