Proverbs 21:28
28A false witness shall perish,
But the man who hears him will speak endlessly.

There remains a judgment for those who speak falsely concerning another. We ought not to take such judgment lightly. There is discernment that we must have as believers. While the liar perishes, the alternative is one who endures. This is the one who carefully discerns truth. In a society where lies are perpetuated and gossip runs rampant, the one who is set apart is the one who listens carefully. Be sure that you discern right and wrong, false and truth, and above all, make sure you intentionally place truth before you.
