Proverbs 21:31
31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle,
But deliverance is of the LORD.
-Proverbs 21:31
While verse 30 gave an argument for us to not fight against the Lord, this verse instructs us not to be fighting without Him. We may have our resources and preparation all figured out, but at the end of it all, if we truly want deliverance, we must be centered upon the Lord in those things. We cannot conjure up some means of deliverance for ourselves. I also consider this in light of the end times we are in. The question gets thrown around a lot asking if we are ready for His return. Now where does the deliverance come from in that? It comes from that Lord. For all of our preparations and plans, let us rely on the Lord through and through. He is our deliverer.
