2 The rich and the poor have this in common,
The LORD is the maker of them all.

It is extremely problematic when we view people through our own corrupted lenses. Race, status, wealth, and the like testify of a small thing when we really get down to the roots of people. How often do you consider that the individual that you are frequently striving against is also made by the Lord and that His desire is for them? Praise the Lord that His capacity for love is not like our own. It is so much greater and so much better. Let us give a certain honor to our neighbor as another who was made by the Lord. See that the Lord is Sovereign over all things and rather than turning your heart to contention against your neighbor, put your trust in Him.
