Proverbs 22:4
4 By humility and the fear of the LORD
Are riches and honor and life.
-Proverbs 22:4
Here is a combination of things that we must grow in as believers. We need to learn humility and grow in the fear of the Lord. In humility, we grow nearer to the Lord. In the fear of Him, we stay ourselves from the very things that divide us from Him. This means that we will grow ever nearer to Him and gain the benefits that come forth from Him. The riches that the Lord has, we may partake in. The honor that the Lord bestows will be bestowed upon us. The life that He gives will be given to us. So then draw near to the Lord and keep yourself in the arms of the Father, staying from sin, understanding the consequences that may come forth should we remain in sin.
