Proverbs 23:24-25

    24      The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
    And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.
    25      Let your father and your mother be glad,
    And let her who bore you rejoice.

As we have addressed before, it is the delight of a parent to watch as their children walk in the right way. There is a responsibility for a parent to train their child in the way they should go. It is the responsibility of the parent to be praying for their children that they might walk in righteousness. Yet, it is the responsibility for the child to walk in that way. This is a trade in conversation my dad and I often have. I'll thank him for how he trained me to be the man I am today, and he will thank me for taking to his teaching. Let us in live in a righteous way that causes our Father in heaven to delight in us. Let us take to the teachings that He has given us, that He may greatly rejoice. In doing so, you may also cause your earthly parents to rejoice over you.
