Proverbs 24:7

    7      Wisdom is too lofty for a fool;
    He does not open his mouth in the gate.
-Proverbs 24:7

It is an important distinction to make that wisdom and foolishness is not talking about intellect. So for wisdom to be too lofty for a fool is not an issue of comprehension, but of refusal. The fool rejects wisdom. As such, the idea of wisdom is too lofty for a fool to take. The fool is filled with pride, but wisdom takes humility. The lesson for the believer is two fold here. First, do not be surprised when a fool rejects wisdom. Such is their nature. Second, we should continue to focus on humbling ourselves before the Lord that we might not become foolish in our thinking. This will guard our hearts and our minds from the enemy. Consider the fact that the Lord truly knows and desires that which is best for you. Submit yourself to Him in all you do and you will do well.
