Proverbs 24:23

    23      These things also belong to the wise:
    It is not good to show partiality in judgment.

Partiality is still a very relevant topic to us today. We have this all over the place. A parent automatically believes their child and joins forces against a teacher. A police officer gets into an altercation and it is swiftly labeled as police brutality. We shake hands with those that are wealthy but hesitate with those who are not so well off. Partiality exists all around us. Consider your spiritual state if the Lord showed partiality. How wealthy can you appear to the King of kings and Lord of lords? How good can you present yourself to One who is entirely righteous? What thing can you say to gain the favor of one who knows your words before you even speak? The Lord is not partial to anyone, for all have fallen short and He has extended the same means of salvation to all. We would do well to take the Lord's example sincerely for our lives. Do not show partiality, but just as you have been loved, go and love others. In this the Lord is well pleased.
