Psalm 107:8-9
8Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
9For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness.
-Psalm 107:8-9
There is something that so many try to gain from this world, but it is impossible. However, when turning to the Lord for this, it is there in abundance. Satisfaction. Many pursue being satisfied. Whether they pursue that in their physical health, wealth, or otherwise, it always fails to leave them satisfied. Yet I have found there to be great satisfaction among those who seek after the Lord and longs after Him. He fills to the point of overflow.
Do you see how we must draw near to Him? If I had the option between a water bottle or a well of pure cool water that never runs dry, I would be foolish not to run to the source. The Lord your God is the source by which we draw from. Long for Him and turn to Him. Seek out the Lord and you will find satisfaction. Praise God!
