Psalm 108:7-13

7God has spoken in His holiness:
“I will rejoice;
I will divide Shechem
And measure out the Valley of Succoth.
8Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine;
Ephraim also is the helmet for My head;
Judah is My lawgiver.
9Moab is My washpot;
Over Edom I will cast My shoe;
Over Philistia I will triumph.”
10Who will bring me into the strong city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
11Is it not You, O God, who cast us off?
And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?
12Give us help from trouble,
For the help of man is useless.
13Through God we will do valiantly,
For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
-Psalm 108:7-13

As we consider reasons to praise, I would like for us to think about how God takes ownership of His people. To this place and that place, He says it is His. To this people and that people, He says they are His. To you who believe, you are a child of God. He looks at you and says the you are His. Will God not lead those who are is own? Only follow His leadership. The help from man is useless. Man's leadership will fail. The Lord's leadership is good, right, just, and holy. Through God you may do valiantly. Praise the Lord!
