Proverbs 31:31

31      Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.
-Proverbs 31:31

Following Christ leads us to be a fruitful people. We do not have to look very far to see that the Lord has transformed us to be fruitful as was intended in the Garden of Eden before the Fall. Ephesians 2:10 reveals to us that we are created, as God's workmanship, in Christ Jesus for good works. It is intended that we should walk that out. And the fruit that is produced through us, and in us, testifies of who we are. Consider Galatians 5,

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
-Galatians 5:22-23

See also John 15,

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
-John 15:4-5

As we abide in the Lord, we will produce much fruit. We ought to heavily consider the implications of what should be produced in us in belonging to the Lord. It becomes a great test for us to see if we are truly abiding in the Lord or if we are walking out the flesh.
