Proverbs 25:19
19Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble
Is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint.
-Proverbs 25:19
Let us consider this analogy that has been given to us in this passage. When do you know a bad tooth is a bad tooth? Suddenly when the tooth is bad! You may have been fine chewing that candy yesterday, but today, it hurts viciously! How about when your foot slips up? At one moment, that foot was fine with being in touch with the earth, the next moment it invites the rest of your body to join it on the floor. So is the same with the unfaithful man in times of trouble. At one moment, he may seem like a trustworthy guy. That is, until he suddenly is not any longer. Let us choose our counsel carefully and whom we put our confidence in with wisdom. They may prove to be a pillar for you.
