Proverbs 27:25-27

25When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself,
And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,
26The lambs will provide your clothing,
And the goats the price of a field;
27You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food,
For the food of your household,
And the nourishment of your maidservants.
-Proverbs 27:25-27

Here we have the result of what happens if something is not neglected, and is, instead, tenderly cared for. It thrives and does what it should. Consider this in regard to your faith. Consider Psalm 1:

1Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
4The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
-Psalm 1

When investing into the Word of God and caring for our very souls, will our faith not thrive like a tree planted by the rivers of water? Will we not be fruitful in having invested in our faith? Indeed, it will cause your faith to thrive. Seek to walk in righteousness and care for your soul. Invest in the Lord in prayer and commune with Him in His word.
