Proverbs 28:3

3      A poor man who oppresses the poor
Is like a driving rain which leaves no food.
-Proverbs 28:3

This is something of an equivalent for the blind leading the blind. There is only destruction set out from the beginning for such individuals who would walk in similar fashions. What will come about from the poor oppressing the poor? Will they both not still be left desolate? It is important for us to remember who the enemy actually is. No, I am not saying that the wealthy are the enemies of the poor. Wickedness shows itself to be the enemy here. We are taught to trust in the Lord our God for our provision. We are taught to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. We are taught to be content with or without. If we miss this, the idea of oppressing those around us becomes attractive. Let us truly walk in trust of our Lord.
