Proverbs 28:20
20A faithful man will abound with blessings,
But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.
-Proverbs 28:20
The underlying issue that sits beneath the surface of this passage is patience. We are called to be a patient people as believers in the Lord. We can often find ourselves trying to fast track things in life. We want to grow up too fast. We want to make more money and we want it now. We want to to be at our end goal immediately. We have failed to enjoy the journey. As such, we have often found ways in which we are willing to compromise to advance us faster. Do not be so willing to trade faithfulness for haste. Walk diligently to the Lord and let Him have His perfect work and distribute to you as He pleases.
