Proverbs 28:2

    2      Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes;
    But by a man of understanding and knowledge
    Right will be prolonged.
-Proverbs 28:2

There is a reality in which wickedness meets calamity and righteousness meets with goodness. Sure we do not always see this reality, such as that within the Psalms points out. But at the end, such is always the case. Something we see throughout Scripture is that leadership is judgment. In the time that the people of Israel would forget their God, they would cycle through one wicked ruler after another. As they repented and turned toward the Lord, righteousness was prolonged. What is the lesson for us? Do not forget the Lord your God. Grow in knowledge and spiritual understanding and walk worthy of the calling with which you were called. Rejoice in the Lord your God and delight in Him and it will be well with you.
