Proverbs 29:2
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
-Proverbs 29:2
We have all experienced this to some degree. Most of us, I am certain, have experienced this an individuals as well. When we are walking well with the Lord, we rejoice and we are excited for what the Lord is doing. But if we have stumbled in darkness and slipped into sin, we find ourselves groaning and longing for righteousness to take hold. Especially as believers, we do not want wickedness to dominate in our lives. We want for the Lord and His righteousness to prevail over everything within us. When wickedness rules, righteousness is stifled. When righteousness rules, wickedness is silenced. Walk therefore in righteousness. Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Praise the Lord!
