Proverbs 27:12
12A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished.
-Proverbs 27:12
There is wisdom in having the foresight for potential risks and danger. As believers, we should be the utmost of forward thinkers. It is a foolish thing within our culture to only live for the here and now. The mentality of today is to do what feels right in the moment. Seldom is it taught that we should really consider the consequences. We who are in Christ should frequently be considering the consequences of our actions. We should be circumspect, walking as wise men, aware of other dangers that may creep up around us. We should be protecting our families, not just from physical threats, but from dangerous ideologies and theologies. We should be grounded in prayer and in the word that we would have the vision to see those things for what they are. Seek the Lord and His guidance and heed His warnings.
