Proverbs 25:24

24It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop,
Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.
-Proverbs 25:24

The comforts of a home are often limited by those we share that space with. At the very least, they can be. You may have the most luxurious and comfortable home that money can afford, but if your spouse is contentious with you, it deflates the luxury instantaneously. We have gone over several proverbs already that show how we handle those we contend with in showing kindness, so I will not concern over that right now. Instead, let us focus upon not being contentious ourselves. Or do you not realize that you may very well be the discomfort in your own home? Show kindness and generosity. Show and demonstrate love clearly. Care for your household. Take care of your chores. Love your spouse wonderfully. Delight in your children. Honor your parents. Even if you are not treated well in response, you can only manage yourself. Love as the Lord has loved you.
