Proverbs 25:26

26A righteous man who falters before the wicked
Is like a murky spring and a polluted well.
-Proverbs 25:26

This proverb is offered in direct contrast to the previous proverb. While good news is like cold water, given to refresh an individual, this here is a murky spring and a polluted well. The righteous falling before the wicked is a tragic story that we see happening more and more. This is one of the reasons we must be cautious on who we surround ourselves with. Righteous company will help us to produce and maintain righteousness. However, wicked company will often lead us astray. I have shared with many that it is not a question of whether or not you will be influenced, but who or what you will be influenced by. Choose your company carefully. Stand on a firm foundation.
